Music CreatorItems

Music is the most common CreatorItem type. Here's everything you need to know about publishing music.

Music Item Types

• Single — One track (music download or stream)
• Album — Multiple tracks with a tracklist
• EP — Short album (3-5 tracks)
• Mixtape — Free or low-cost multi-track release

All of these follow the same creation process, with slight variations.

Creating a Single

1. Go to Creator Studio → Create
2. Select "Single" as the item type
3. Add your title and cover art
4. Upload your audio file (MP3 or WAV)
5. Write a description
6. Set your genre
7. Set your pricing
8. Mark as explicit if needed
9. Submit for review

Creating an Album

1. Follow the single steps above (type = Album)
2. Add a tracklist — Each track gets a title, duration, and optional file
3. Set album-level pricing
4. Optionally mark individual tracks as free previews
5. Submit for review

Creating an EP or Mixtape

Same as album, but with fewer tracks. Mixtapes are often free or pay-what-you-want.

Audio Quality

• Preferred: WAV (uncompressed) or MP3 at 320kbps
• Avoid: Low-bitrate MP3s (below 192kbps)
• Cover art: Square, at least 1000x1000px, JPG or PNG

Pricing Music

Free — Best for new artists building an audience. Free tracks can capture email addresses.

Fixed Price — Set a specific amount. Common: $1-$3 for singles, $5-$15 for albums.

Pay What You Want — Fans choose, with a minimum. Great for community-driven support.

Coming Soon — Build anticipation before a release.

Featured Artists

If your track has a featured artist, add their name in the "featured_artists" field. This enables cross-promotion — the track appears on both artists' worlds.

After Publishing Music

Once your music is live:

1. Set it as your featured release (if it's your best work)
2. Submit to LH Radio for rotation
3. Build a promotional campaign with LH AI
4. Email your mailing list about the release
5. Share on social media with your Artist World link

Music Analytics

Each music CreatorItem tracks:

• Play count — How many times it's been streamed
• Purchase count — How many times it's been bought
• Total revenue — Gross revenue
• Artist earnings — Your 90% share
