Creating Your Industry Professional Account

If you're a music industry professional — a studio, engineer, producer, DJ, manager, promoter, venue, photographer, videographer, or anyone who serves artists — this guide is for you.

Step 1: Join the Platform

Go to the Join page and select Industry Professional as your account type.

  • Enter your email and create a password
  • Verify your email
  • You'll land on the Industry Welcome page

Step 2: Complete Your Profile

Your Industry Profile is your business listing in the Lyrical Hustlers Business Directory. This is how artists find you.

  1. Go to the Industry Dashboard at /IndustryDashboard
  2. Set your brand name — Your business or professional name
  3. Select your categories — Choose from Recording Studio, Audio Engineer, Music Producer, DJ, Manager, Label, Photographer, Videographer, Promoter, Venue, and more
  4. Upload your logo and banner — Professional branding matters
  5. Write your about section — What you do, who you work with, your experience
  6. List your services — Each service becomes discoverable in the directory
  7. Add contact info — Email, phone, booking link, website
  8. Set availability — Available, Limited, Unavailable, or By Inquiry

Step 3: Publish to the Directory

Once your profile is complete, it goes live in the Industry Directory. Artists can find you by category, location, and service.

Step 4: Create Service Listings

Your services are listed as CreatorItems with the type service. This means each service you offer has its own page, description, and pricing.

  • Go to Creator Studio → Create
  • Select item type: Service
  • Add title, description, pricing (fixed, pay-what-you-want, or inquiry-only)
  • Submit for review

Step 5: Add a Booking Link

Profiles with booking links get significantly more inquiries. Add your Calendly, Acuity, or custom booking URL so artists can schedule with you directly.

What Makes a Great Industry Profile

  • Be specific — Don't just say "Mixing." Say "Professional Mixing for Hip-Hop and R&B (48-hour turnaround, stem-ready files)."
  • Show your work — Add portfolio links and media gallery items
  • Be available — Set your availability status so artists know you're accepting clients
  • Respond fast — When artists reach out, quick responses win clients

LH AI Tip: Ask LH AI to write your bio. Tell it your business type, years of experience, notable projects, and what makes you different.
